2004: The Alliance of Nations

US Administrator Paul Bremer fled Iraq on June 28, 2004 like a thief in the night. President George Bush and his administration in the meantime tried to sell their conquest of Iraq to the people of the world as a contribution to a safer world. Yet everyone knew that the opposite was true.

Six billion people around the world woke up to the frightening reality that the United Nations, as a guarantor of peace and security, no longer existed. For the second time in the history of mankind an international organization - explicitly created to maintain peace and international security - had been destroyed. After the demise of the League of Nations 70 years before, the United Nations Organization committed political suicide in June 2004.

By abandoning the code of international law, the UN exposed s ix billion people now living in the world to escalating crises, further wars and corporate greed. In response, Dr. Rath called for the establishment of a new world body – the Alliance of Nations. Founded on the simple principle of one country, one vote, such a body would provide the framework for a lasting world government for the people, by the people.
